That's interesting Nell
I wonder if any of his family knew my gt gran's brother ? William Henry Looker (Cabinet Maker) born 1858 Scotland, moved to London, then to Barnes, Surrey and finally settled in Richmond ..... Hill Rise (1911). Believe his widow had a Tea Shop somewhere around there later.

They aren't around to ask any more Rachel!
But if I find any Lookers in my researches I'll let you know. By coincidence I do have a Looker family in my tree, my gt x a few aunt married a Loker and they are sometimes recorded as Looker, but they originated as Locar in Cambridgeshire.
