FreeREG witness search

The old FreeREG used to allow you to search (marriage records) for witnesses' names, but this has not been possible on the new version of the site until now. I have tried it out, and it works, although it also brings back records where the bride or groom's name matches your search.

That's always the difficult part!

My tree program has a special field for entering what specific data you would like to find which should help in this situation, but I never remember to use it

It's already come up with a promising lead for my Ann Sage (on the TO3G board)! I just started searching for my brick walls.
