I did email the India office a few months ago about the marriage and they said they would look into it and get back to me but never did.

I had a look on FamilySearch, FIBIS and the British Library India Office websites and found nothing.

Frustrating isn't it. I don't know his first wife's surname either. That doesn't appear to be listed either although all of the children's baptisms are.
