William North, widower OTP
Elizabeth Biddle, spinster of South Mountsorrel in this parish.

Unfortunately, North is a common name in the Rothley/Mountsorrel area.
My great-grandfather William North appears in the 1841 and 1851 censuses with a wife Elizabeth, whose birth is given as Mountsorrel South in the 1851 census, so I assume this is Elizabeth Biddle in view of the abode given in the 1829 marriage entry, and her age on death.

Other possible marriages for William North (born c. 1780) to Elizabeths:
- William North, of Rothley, & Elizabeth Haywood, married in Thurcaston-cum-Cropston (near Rothley), Leicestershire, on 3rd December 1798
- William North, bachelor OTP to Elizabeth Sharpe, spinster OTP, in Rothley, by banns, 25th December 1824

I would guess that Elizabeth Sharpe was William's first wife and Elizabeth Biddle the second; not sure about Elizabeth Haywood.

Problem: the William North who married Elizabeth Sharpe in 1824 signed his name. The one who married Elizabeth Biddle in 1829 made his mark.

Of course, William's first wife may not have been called Elizabeth, and the first marriage may not have been in the Rothley area.
