Thank you very much for your help,I was wondering if you could help me out with another family member,David Williams the son of Robert and Jane Williams,Galltraeth,Bryncroes,Caernarvonshife, he was born about1866,I would like to find out if there are any death records for him,I have no idea at what age he died and where he is buried, most of his family are buried in Bryncroes cemetery, regards Wendy.

I can see him with his parents on the 1871 and 1881 census. Do you know if he married?

The trouble is, it's difficult to trace a person coming forward when they have such a common name. If he moved to England or elsewhere he may have only given Wales as his place of birth. The only thing I can say is that there doesn't seem to be a possible death registration in Pwllheli district between 1881 and 1891, but he could have died elsewhere or just moved away. His parents don't seem to have lived to complete 1911 when they would have stated how many surviving children they had.

I looked to see if I could work out if Robert had left a will, but I don't think he did (there were rather a lot to eliminate!)

The family had moved to Ty Capel Bryncroes in the 1901 census,I can't find them in 1911,Ty Capel Tyddyn it is sometimes called.

Ah, it's simple with the date!!

There is an entry in the probate index (I must have missed this one before) but it's only for an administration:

WILLIAMS Robert of Tycapel Tyddyn Bryncroes Carnarvonshire labourer died 25 May 1905 Administration Bangor 11 July to Rowland Williams joiner Effects £90 4s.

Thanks for this,I don't suppose there's any hopes of finding Robert's parents or siblings.
