Default Henry Hooke MMMMMMF (&MMMMMFF)

Henry was baptised 30 March 1755 at Cley Next the Sea, Norfolk, a son of Nicholas Hook & Mary nee Bush.

Henry married Diana Massingham nee Porter 17 August 1778. Their twin daughters Mary & Sarah Hook were baptised 10 days later.

Henry had no other children and was buried 12 September 1784 aged 28.

Henry was probably a mariner (a brother was drowned in Cley channel, and their parents married in Great Yarmouth) but there is no surviving gravestone & no will.

Henry may be my ancestor, but given the age disparity between him and his wife (she was fifteen years older) the shortness of the gap between marriage and baptism of the children and the lack of any subsequent children, I can't help feeling that he was bought off by someone else who didn't want an elderly wife/mistress cramping their style.

Of course, I could be wrong entirely
