In WW1 before joining the army he made wooden propellers for aircraft in Leagrave . Military service - if any WW1: joined the West Wittering Volunteer Training Corps at its inaugural meeting 28 Nov 1924, aged 16, along with his father and brother Lawrence/ WW1: Gunner, Royal Field Artillery regtl no 218785 WW2: too old, worked making MTBs Addresses where they lived - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on, if applicable. 1901: Myrtle Cottage, West Wittering 1911: Myrtle Cottage, West Wittering 1921: Myrtle Cottage with mother, oldest brother, sister Elsie and two visitors, sister Beatrice and her son. Employed as a carpenter by brother Lawrence. 1929ish: Little Cott, Shore Road, East Wittering (demolished, Munneries is built on the site) Later 1930s Admiralty Row, East Wittering, one of the smaller houses in the terrace 1939 onward: 7 Admiralty Row Date, place and cause of death Nov 1975, hospital in Chichester district, can't remember the date. It was a weekday. I was 15. Date and place of burial / cremation. Chichester Crematorium, ashes scattered Chichester harbour near the end of Ellanore Lane, the perfect place.
