That was a quick ten months!
5ft 6and 8st 4lbs. I was 5ft 6 ins for most of my adult life (I've shrunk) and if I had ever weighed as little as that I would have looked like a walking skeleton. As you say, the realities of prewar life and not necessarily in a town or city. OC |

I applied for my grandfather‘s record in March 2024. I received a message yesterday saying it is closed until 2029 because:
“The information contained in the record relates to medical information that has been deemed to have been given ‘in confidence’ at the time of recording to an authority, the release of which could be actionable in court. Although, for the purposes of the FOI Act, section 41 is an absolute exemption, I can confirm that we have taken into account the public interest defence test inherent within the common law duty of confidence in reaching this decision…The duty of confidence owed to an individual when giving sensitive information extends beyond their death.“ |

Comments like that only rouse one's curiosity, and push my thoughta down a particular pathway.

I do wonder what difference three years makes to sensitive information.
OC Edit to say - me too, Phoenix! |
