Default NSW Australia death reg Q

Would a NSW death registration from 1964 have the date of birth of the deceased included, if known to the informant?

EDIT or place of birth? If place was in the UK would it just say England?

I did Google. It only found a chart drawn up by an individual. This suggested No dob but place of birth was asked. I’m guessing that will probably only be the country in this case Just a guess though and I don’t know how accurate the chart I looked at is!

Lol thanks Libby! I can see that I have a message waiting but messenger doesn’t work on my phone so it will have to wait until I get home! (In supermarket at the moment)

NSW death certificates generally asked for Age at death, not year of birth (which would only be as accurate as the person providing the info knew about the deceased).

I have seen place of birth as anything from "Maidstone, Kent, England" to just "England". Again, dependent on the info provider.

OK, thanks very much Libby and Di!

Given in my case the man's son has done the registering and has got his father's first names incorrect, I won't hold out much hope for the correct answers to other questions anyway!

Thanks again

If the person was well known in the area, his death might be in Trove. I can have a look if you like.
