Name: Richard Geddes Young Date and place of birth: 13 November 1862 at Gaswater, Auchinleck, Ayr, Scotland Names of parents: James Russel Stewart Young and Jean/Jane Geddes Date and place of baptism: Not known Details of each of his or her marriages: Marriage to Elizabeth McMillan on 14 December 1883 at Gaswater, Auchinleck, Ayr, Scotland - Witnesses John Mather and Janet Young Occupation(s): Ironstone Drawer/Miner, Coal Miner Military service: Not known Addresses where they lived: Haven't found him on the 1871 Scottish Census (definitely I haven't Kite I checked this time it might be there it could be staring me in the face but have lost the will to live looking for Young families with James has a father/head with a wife called Jane or Jean in Ayr and this Scottish lot seemed to stay in the extended families houses a lot ) Listed as a nephew to Duncan and Maggie Smart in Auchinleck, Ayr, Scotland - 1881 Census 14 Loganlea Rows, Auchinleck, Ayr, Scotland - 1891 Census Date, place and cause of death: 8 April 1896 at the Royal Infirmary, Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland Died of Pyaemia aged 34 Date and place of burial / cremation: Not known Details of will / administration of their estate: Not known probably far too poor. The will search on Scotland's People is free to search, and I can't see him on there, although it only goes up to 1901.
