Do you think this just might be her baptism?

You need to order the marriage certificate, then we might make some progress!

Have you seen the certificate yourself? I'm just wondering if it could have been misread?

We have had this discussion about your sister and her reading of the certs before. She could be giving you mis information. You need to get them scanned and emailed to you. Your sister must know someone who can do this for her if she can't do it yourself.
Don't want to go miles off on the wrong track because of a reading error. I would never trust someone else to read mine.

hi all, spoke to my sister last night, it is definitely martha, elizabeth's sister, halden on the certificate, father is john halden, writing is quite clear on the name, so where that leaves us with arundall i don't know, bit of a stretch linking the 2 names, what do people think

You have to remember that spellings are a bit random. Very few people were literate and wouldn't have been able to say, "you've spelt my name wrongly".
Names were spelt how they sounded, taking accents into consideration anything is possible.
