Default Military Medals

OH has inherited his father's military medals, mainly Second World War.
Apart from one in a box, they are loose. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and has the two items shown here under the rank:

We didn't realise that the two belonged together until I googled.

I have been looking for a way to display/store them, either as shown, but at least together denoting his rank, but I haven't found anything online yet.

Also, I need to buy other items to store his medals and hat badges.
If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

These items will all pass to my grandson. I am preparing a document detailing them all.

I've found boxes for storage online, but nothing similar to the illustration I gave in the link.

This company do a range of medal display cases with options for a photo and a caption, and have a video of how to mount them. It's something I need to do with my grandfather's WW1 medals and my father in law's WW2 ones, though I will probably take them to a specialist company a few miles away.

Thanks, Jill. It's no good having them rattling about in a bag.

Ooh, thankyou for this thread. It's reminded me that I handed over my father's medals to my youngest grandson, because he is the only one interested. They live in a cigar box atm but they deserve to be in something better.

I've used this company to have medals mounted for wearing etc.

Also have wall display mounts and boxes iirc correctly

They are a well known and trusted company

Have you looked on Etsy? They have lots of different boxes to either display or store medals of any variety.
