I haven't found her on the 1930 census yet, but ancestry has a Providence directory from 1930-1 with the following entry:
Kearns David A (Cathryn E) gas producer h 15 Sassafras

Then moving forward to the 1940 directory (they have loads of years on there)
Kearns David A (Kathryn E) eng PG Co h 206 Pavilion av

Same entry in 1952.

1964: Kearns Cath E (wid David A) H295 Oxford St.

I think the "h" means householder or something like that.
