I'm only putting this up so I can add to it if I happen to find anything.

All I have is his son is known as Antoine Mason Neilsen on his daughter's birth cert from Tenterfield NSW in 1876. Antoine was married in 1873 in Qld...........and I've just realised I don't have that cert....which SHOULD have his father's name.

Off to get the mastercard...lol

Is he Anton Mason Nielsen who died 5 Jul 1929 in Queensland, Libby? Ancestry shows his parents as Hans Jorgensen and Anne Henricksen (on the death index). But Queensland BMD doesn't show any parents' names for him.

And ancestry also has an entry for Andrew Morris Nelson, same registration number, same details.

And there are a couple of e roll entries in the name of Andrew Morrison Nelson (1903, Darling Downs) and Andrew Morrison Neilson (Darling Downs, 1905). Are those the same person too?

Oooh thanks....yes it is the same person. Now why haven't I ever found that??
