Default DNA Matches in Ancestry

I am finding my list of DNA matches in Ancestry is not working properly at the moment. The only tab across the top of the full list of matches that works is SORT. The rest, FILTER, CREATE GROUP, SEARCH all come back with "This function is not available right now". This has been going on like this for about a week. I have tried clearing my cache, logging out and logging back in but nothing has worked to get those tabs usable.

I know there are changes to Thru Lines but wondered if this is just me, not doing something to get these results I need to view in the new system or if others are finding the same problem.

I have searched the internet to see if anyone else has mentioned this on other forums or social media but found nothing that is recent.

Are the tabs working for others in their list of DNA matches?

Thanks for any input.

Pat

They are working for me, Pat. Have you tried using a different browser?

Thanks for your reply. I haven't tried a different browser having used Firefox for years. I will give a different one a go.

Thankyou.

It may be the rollout of the new Thrulines, there are so many ways to access DNA results from the homepage now & each one is a distinct and separate redirect (and the number varies depending if you have protools or not). My most common problem is when a new screen opens I'm not logged in & I get redirected to the .com site site or get a 'too many redirects' message.

When I click on a match the buttons for trees, origins and shared matches have been moved to the left so they've changed some of the layout coding but the new buttons don't always work. It's always frustrating when it's not working as it's often the paid functions that cease to work while they try to patch things.

It's working fine for me with Firefox. Do you have the latest version?

Hi everyone and thank you all for your input.

Tried Chrome browser but it's not as user friendly when needing screenshots etc. so have been experimenting with MS Edge. That seems a tad better. I do find having to learn something new is getting harder and more frustrating as I age.

My Firefox is an older version as my laptop is running Windows 8.1 and any newer versions are not supported. I really do not want a new laptop as the thought of trying to get it running the way I like it might just finish me off. Also there are some issues with the Cloud interfering with my FH software and I cannot go down that route. Hence, I will try MS Edge for bits that do not work in Firefox. I know - old and stubborn - that's me, but I will try and find a work around.

Glen's explanation of how updated websites change things is very interesting. When I understand the why, I usually can accept it and move on from there.

Thank you all again for your responses.

Pat
