Default How does this work?

I am working my way religiously through my aunt's DNA matches. I have eliminated all those over 9cM and all those more recent than 3 months (mopping up the new ones, and steadily working towards the older matches.)

So today, with the newly released batch, is one 14 Cm released over two months ago. How has it hidden itself, unread, for two months?

Could they perhaps have turned on DNA matching very briefly over two months ago when they first got their results, immediately turned it off (i.e. before you got the chance to see their name), and now have turned it back on again? I must admit I don't know exactly where the time period shown is taken from.

So the match existed 2 months ago, but the user chose then not to activate the match? That would work, I think.
