The angle I'm approaching now is looking for an unmarried Ms Nolan with a son, either Manchester or Salford. We know that she came back to Rochdale for my grandfather when he was 12 and took him back to Manchester/Salford, so he could bring money in for her.. My grandfather said he had a brother (half). So she must have given birth to a second son between my grandfathers birth Oct 1906 and Oct 1918, when he went back with her. So I'm clutching at straws as she never registered my grandfathers birth, but have found these two male births (between 1906 and 1918):
Sept 1914: Nolan Frederick K Manchester 8d 481 June 1914 Nolan Stanley Salford 8d 282 I can't see any more... but will start with these.
