Allender alert! - "Jacob Allender born 1774 -I'm confused"!
Seen on Ancestry!
http://mv.ancestry.co.uk/viewer/0e0e...46/42317959911 I had to smile when I saw this. I wondered if it resonated with our forum members! http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...=rstp&uidh=ho3 I'm really not sure how it turned up in my search results. I was looking for James Cavalier. |

He's a Murican Allender. We don't like to talk about them.

What is a Murican Allender?
The rest of us want to talk about him.

Say it out loud, Kit, and you should get it.

Or, in case you've been rendered speechless, you can just Google it. But you should leave the Allenders out of it. For that matter, you can leave me out of it too.

Thanks, Janet. The 'sralian Allenders, Solomon being one of "mine", were very naughty and got banished to the colonies for thievery. He changed his name when he got there so it took me a while to track him down. He turned out ok though, in the end.
The murderous family of transported Allenders are no relation, I'm pleased to say.
