Thumbs up Devon Parish Registers - findmypast

Covering the part of Devon which was not already included in their "Plymouth and West Devon" collection. Includes the images.

Devon Marriages
Devon Banns Registers
Devon Baptisms
Devon Burials

And you can search the baptisms by parents' names!!!

Thank you for posting that news.

Just dipped in an found loads of records for the Kerslakes which I hadn't seen before. Thanks to being able to search by the name of the parents, also traced one family to a different village which filled in a 10-year gap in the baptisms.

Well done Asa. I wish I could find mine in Venn Ottery!
I've looked for almost all my OH's Devon ancestors that I have missing and only managed to find one! It seems all the parishes I need (that I haven't already got) aren't there.
Will have to have another search session later to see if I have more luck.

Sue, I notice if you select parish you seem to have to select eg Kingsteignton and Kingsteington St Michael

Interesting - the transcripts and the images don't match. Just found a baptism image that states parents names only but the transcription says the father is a surgeon. Surname on transcription is spelled differently too.
