Where can I find a list of DSC medal recipents?
I am trying to find a list of recipients of the DSC medal.
A friend wants to find some info on a David Lawton born 1867 Newcastle and who died in 1927 in Liverpool. He is buried in Anglesey and it states on his gravestone that he was awarded the DSC. 1911 census states Merchant Service, but unable to find him in 1891 and 1901. Does anyone know if there is a searchable list anywhere? I've tried to find one but haven't had any luck.

I can't get anything to come up. Do you have to pay to see the info?

I get access to The Times and other Victorian papers via Bournemouth Library and no, it's free.
