My uncle Maurice William Newey 1913-1995 He was in the 8th Army in North Africa and was taken a POW Maurice on the right Maurice in the centre

This is my great-uncle, Lieutenant Clifford Stanley Clark, Royal Field Artillery - b 14th Feb 1898 d 30th May 1919. Clifford died of pneumonia whilst serving in the Army of occupation in Cologne, Germany. He was awarded the Military Cross on 26th July 1918.
This is his brother-in-law, Captain Edmund Walker, Cambridgeshire Regiment. Edmund was also awarded the Military Cross, in July 1917. He was awarded two bars to his MC over the course of the rest of WW1. Admin note......Decades threads updated to here

Merry, you could try contacting the Staffordshire Regiment Museum to see if they can definately identify the uniform. I'm sure the hat badge of the chap sitting in the second photo is the Staffs Regiment badge.

I keep wondering why Ben was sending his photo to someone who needed to be told which man he was ("That's me standing up"). Curious unless they hasn't seen each other since he was a lot younger, perhaps?
