28 Dec 1867 at Old St Pancras, London, to Sarah Bartlett. By licence. Both full age, bachelor and spinster, both of St Pancras, his occupation Merchant, fathers Henry Edwin Atkins, excise officer, and William Bartlett, farmer. Witnesses James Thomas Sherley (a photographer) and Amelia Rogers.
15 Mar 1876 at Prestbury, Cheshire, to Mary Jane Ashcroft. He: 27 bachelor Commission Agent residence Macclesfield father Henry Edwin Atkins Inland Revenue Officer, She: 28 spinster residence Macclesfield father George Ashcroft hairdresser Banns, both signed. Witnesses Edmund Hayman Frost and Ann Houghton.
