On the 1871 census he is listed as Gormer, at the District Risbridge Union Workhouse, in Kedington, Suffolk, pauper, married, age 65, ag lab, born Cowlinge Suff.

Death registration Jan-Mar 1872 John Gormer, age 64, Risbridge district vol 4a p 283.
