Just noticed the typo in the title - it should of course read Samuel and not Samule......

Do you think Ann Button age 70 (i.e. 70-74) who is with the family in 1841 could be Samuel's mother? Have you found her in 1851 or found a death for her?

There is a death reg for an Ann Button in Orsett district (the district that South Ockendon was in) Jan-Mar 1849. If it's the right Ann, then Samuel might possibly be the informant on the death cert and it might say if he is her son.

I must admit to being very lackadaisical with OH's tree as no-one else seems interested and I don't think I'd studied the 1841 that closely. It's certainly worth adding to my list of certificates to buy! And thankyou for correcting my typo in the title too!
