The name Millicent comes right down the family to my dad's sister who was called Millicent. Dad handed down to me his memory of his sister's bread buttering technique which was precise in the extreme! She spread the butter right to very very edge of the slice he told me. Dad said he thought of it when he buttered breadn and I also think of it whenever I butter bread even though aunty Millie died nearly 20 years before I was born!
