Default Ancestry - Tree Rating

I see that Ancestry has introduced a tree rating. One I have done in my capacity of a Cornwall Online Parish Clerk has a rating of 8.1. I've now handed it over to the person I was researching for.

I have noticed that they are using it to promote Pro Tools.

Where can you find the tree rating, Elizabeth?

Hmm. 9.7 on one of mine. But unverified presumably simply means I've used sources other than Ancestry.

I note that most of the hints they are offering are less than convincing.

Fascinating though. They've described someone I've put on a tree because they are a cousin as an error. Nothing on the censuses (she was an unmarried servant on all of them) provide a clue. I've just checked on Find My Past, and found her parents!

Interesting. Kate, I couldn't understand why you couldn't see the Tree Rating. On my new tree for my researcher it is prominent as a heading in the top right-hand corner of the page.

However, I have looked at my main tree that my daughter runs and at first I couldn't see it. Now I have refreshed the page and it has appeared (9.6) in a box by itself next to Search, Tools and Edit.

My private tree used only for DNA matches has no rating, probably because its an export from Family Historian and I've not bothered to include any sources as these are kept on the tree in FH (and won't transfer well into Ancestry as a gedcom export).

The trees I regard as most trustworthy are the ones with no sources at all.
