Thank you Merry and Kiterunner sorry I had to go off and do something.
Okay then it may be Jacksonville, Indiana, there is word after that. Do you think it goes with the David Bain bit.? That is the second page, back one page and it is James Torrance Wilson I am interested in who went to USA in Sep1910 and I lost him. David Bain is definitely his uncle but never heard of James Craig. I have David and his family on 1910 and 1920 not with David in 1920 or any of the married children and too late for 1910 but David isn't in Chicago on the 1910 he is in Nebraska. No paperwork for inn etween 1910 and 1920. |

Just looked at the image again and I think you are both right because the last word(s) could be Greene County.

Jasonville, Indiana is 30 miles outside of Terre Haute.
It's just barely in Greene County. If you search 'Greene County, IN' in Google Maps it shows you the outline of the county with Jasonville in the northwest corner and Scotland on the southern border, with Burns City south of that in another county. I love it! My reading: Name no. 3 on image 912 Wilson, James, age 21, male, single, miner, reads, writes, nationality Scotland, race or people Scotch [sic], last permanent residence Scotland, Irvine, nearest relative there (Father) James Wilson, 7 West Rd., Irvine, final destination Indiana, Terre Haute [Terre Haute has a line drawn through it] Name no. 3 continues on image 913 Has ticket to final destination? no, passage paid by self, has $50 or not, yes $50, ever before in U.S.? no, going to Uncle David Bain, W. 39th St., Chicago, Uncle James Craig, Jasonville, Indiana, Greene County, height 6', complexion Medium, hair Dark, eyes Blue, marks of identification nil, place of birth Scotland, Irvine |
