Finding my William Williams on even one census would be a breakthrough, Nell!

He could possibly be the William William in this household on the 1841 census but no occupation is given so not particularly likely. The place of residence is about right though.

There is a William Williams burial 20 Dec 1844 at Llanddeti / Llanthetty, age 74, abode Talybont, which I would think is the same William as on tht 1841 census, but I don't know whether he is my William.
I have ordered the death cert to see whether it is any help.

Also I found a Rees Williams, carpenter / cabinet maker, born about 1811-1812 at Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, Carmarthenshire, who married a Jane Brown at St David, Brecon, 4 May 1838, father William Williams, carpenter. Rees and Jane don't seem to have had any surviving children, and Jane died before Rees. Rees died 5 Oct 1896 at Brecon Workhouse and was buried 9 Oct 1896, age 85, and he left a will, so I have ordered a copy in case it mentions any relatives to give a clue as to whether his father was the same person as my William.

The William Williams death cert says labourer and the informant is an Anne Williams, so I don't know for sure whether it is my William or not but probably not.

And the Rees Williams will only mentions a nephew David Williams in Dakota, so probably not related to my family.
