Adelaide Brown nee Barlow, my maternal great-grandmother.

She was born in 1856 at the goldrush township of Tambaroora, NSW, Australia and died at Newtown in Sydney in 1920. This photo was probably taken at Hill End, NSW in about 1878.

This is my father's maternal grandmother, Annie Mitchell, nee Allen. Annie was born in about 1844 (not registered) in Bristol. She was the second wife of stone mason and publican, Edwin Flower Mitchell, who she married in 1879. Her only surviving child was my grandmother, Florence. Annie died in 1926 aged 82.

This photo was taken in the 1890s.

This is my father's paternal grandmother, Johanna Burchill, nee Sage. Johanna was born in 1853 in Chew Magna, Somerset and married Samuel Charles Burchill in 1879. The had six children (pictured), the oldest being my grandfather, George. Johanna died in 1928 aged 74.

This is my mother's paternal grandmother, Mary Louisa Buck, nee Clark. Mary was born into a Quaker family in 1860 at Neithrop near Banbury, Oxfordshire. She worked as a governess of the children of the headmaster of Sidcot (Quaker) School in Somerset where she met her future husband, Henry Robert Clark, who she married in 1884. Mary died in 1928 at Winscombe in Somerset. I think this photograph was taken just before her marriage in 1884.

Default Ann Birch 1862-1935

Ann Birch 1862-1935. Born Solihull, Warwickshire moved to Burton c 1881

She was married 3 times, firstly to James Barker, then to Thomas Green then to my great grandfather Thomas Henry Yates.

Ann is on the right with her sister Emma and brother in law Henry Edwards (who I think looks like Albert Steptoe.

This one was taken about 1931. The baby is my father.

Default Ann Birch 1862-1935

I think this would been taken late 1910's or early 1920's. Ann on the left and her daughter Marion who was born in 1900. The children are my dad and his eldest sister.
