Changes to ThruLines

It's difficult. I put notes on my own tree where it diverges from the group, usually asking people to contact me to understand my reasoning. Never had a response.

Where I have contacted people, they usually tell me that thirty researchers cannot be wrong. One person did listen. Didn't change their tree, but copied all the descendants from my tree until I privatised it.

Snap, Phoenix! 30 people can't be wrong.....but YOU just copied them, how do you know they haven't all just copied each other, like you are doing? Falls on deaf ears.

There's no way I'm aware of to blanket search a 3rd party tree for comments, it's limited to checking for comments on profiles and images.

Those 30 people are just the human equivalent of thrulines, it's all tree based with no verification undertaken. I'm probably daft adding all the info and certs to profiles, at bet they might get copied but the tree they finish up in is never amended, leading horses to water springs to mind.

This is quite spooky, some time ago I added a comment to an image but nothing came of it but this morning the tree owner messaged me. Nothing much in their tree that helps as it's largely based on the book I've mentioned previously but I've sent them an invite to my results so they can compare things to some other tests they manage, I'm hoping it might reveal some distant matches that fall outside the limits of clustering and shared matches.
