1926 Census for Republic of Ireland

Family Tree Magazine says it will be released on 18th April - don't know on what website.

I don't think it covers Northern Ireland which is what I need.

I found OH's Irish relatives very quickly. There aren't a lot of them but a 2x-great uncle and a 2x-great aunt married into an Irish family and a great-uncle from the same family married an Irish woman and moved to Ireland.

It's great that it's free.

I've only found one family out of maybe 20-25. Some I have their address, but none of those addresses show up in the numbers expected or at all in a couple of cases. I'm leaving it for today now because I've just been going round in circles.

I'm just jealous. Great Granny's family did NOT come over here with the potato famine. So far as I can tell, they were probably here by about 1750, so their origins are lost in fog.

Unfortunately no Northern Ireland which they say hasn't survived.
