Default The name Dawson

I'm researching the surname Dawson in the early 1800's and late 1700's in Yorkshire.

Can anyone think of some name variations please?

I've seen Dowson but not sure if anything else is a variation or another name.

One name I've seen is Do(a)wnham. Could this be a misspelling or mispronounciation?

I've seen Daweson, Dauson and Doweson. Sometimes the -son can be dropped.

Thanks Shona. I'll try searching those variations.

It's sometimes mistranscribed as Danson.
