Default Anyone use Forces War Records website?

I don't have a lot of military stuff in my tree but those I do have were often noted in local newspapers and make the odd appearance in the London Gazette. I'm just wondering if it's worth paying out or if I'll just be looking at rehashed info I already have? There is one chap who is a mystery, allegedly quite high up in the army and he married overseas but save for a birth and census record I have nothing else for him.

I've never bothered with that site. Many of their records are available elsewhere (IMHO)

Why don't you put up a research thread about your mystery man in case anyone else can find anything more about him?

I'll post one one up, always struggled with him on previous requests as only the 1901 to show the miltary side and a marriage in Malta in 1906, after that no idea.

Another chap was mentioned for something at Dunkirk but I've never got anywhere with that though his Burmese and later UN experiences are documented in fragments over a number of sites

Thanks, I've so little military so far I was finding it hard to justify the cost.

I have not used the site so can't comment but if you want a discount code it is BB1940 until September 27th. BB stands for battle of Britain.
