nbi
I'm a bit rusty at research. What would the NBI tell me about a burial?
I may have found my GGF's death on freeBMD but his age is a year out (I know, I know lol). William Pontin b August 1871 Marlborough Death December 1936 in Hungerford age 64 when he should be 65. I have to get the death cert to find out where/why he died because I suspect 'oddness'. any tips? |

It would say where he was buried. Which might lead you to a memorial inscription to prove he was actually yours.
But do you know if this event is actually on the nbi? It is a little recent. |

It's not on the NBI

Seems most likely to be him as there are not many births in his name around 1871.

I've just seen you have him as Ponting not Pontin on the other thread! I was refering to the surname Pontin on my earlier post.

yes, sorry Merry. The name does fluctuate through time and the death is listed at pontin without the g. I did search pontin*
