Your grandmother Alice Newey, looks very familar....is that because you've posted pics of her before, or is it because she looks like some of my great-aunts?
I probably have put pics of her on before but I did write an article on her for the mag on FTF

My mother with her brother and cousins. I am sorry I can't make it bigger can anyone help?
seaside.jpg If you left click it gets a bit bigger. I think it must be 1921 or 1922 and probably Devon. Mary and Donovan Horne with their cousins Frank, Wilfred, Kenneth and Gordon Haine.

Daniel Charles (Charlie) Philpott was a son-in-law of my great-grandfather, Edwin Flower Mitchell. Charlie and Edwin were both licencees of The Anchor Inn (323 Gloucester Road, Bristol) at various times from the late 1890s onwards - Charlie was the licencee for 40 years! My grandparents, Florence Elizabeth Mitchell and George Charles Burchill met there in 1905 when she was working there as a barmaid and he was a customer!

Though the caption says the bar is currently Bar Oz, it has now been renamed and is "The Anchor".
