The first couple of those baps seem to say underneath, 'carpenter of Marybone'. So is that anywhere other than Marylebone?

Mary Hall (born 1805) married James Bartholomew in 1830 at Bramshott and lived there with her family.

I did notice yesterday (from memory now ) that Richard Hall's second wife had a son named Valentine Chandler b maybe 1808/10 or so and on the 1841 census there is a child named Henry White aged either 3 or 4 in his household. I don't know who this Henry White is, except that if he was registered then he isn't another child of Edward and Sarah, born before William Edward (1839). Though I just imagine this is a red herring I did think I should mention it just in case!! lol

Thanks, Merry. I'll investigate. I am trying to follow every lead but I'm juggling lots of things today.

I'm returning to this today as I idly posted on Sussex Family History Group's Facebook page about Sarah Thomason.

A lady kindly pointed out that there was the following baptism on Family Search (but I also found it on FMP):

First name(s) Eliza Sarah
Last name Thomson
Sex Female
Baptism year 1812
Baptism date 05 Apr 1812
Place Bramshott
County Hampshire
Country England
Father's first name(s) Joseph
Father's last name Thomson
Mother's first name(s) Ann
Record set Hampshire Baptisms
Category Birth, Marriage, Death & Parish Records
Subcategory Parish Baptisms
Collections from England, Great Britain

I can't see any other Thom*son baptisms.

1812 seems rather early for Sarah. However, the thing that struck me was the father's name - Joseph Thomson.

Edward and Sarah White's third and last child was called Joseph Thomason White. I had always wondered whether her father was William as the first son (my ancestor) was William Edward White and there are no Williams in the White family.

So was the third son named after his grandfather?

Now I need to find Joseph and Ann Thom*son!
