Thanks Mary, I think that is very likely to be him. He was a groom at the time of his marriage and then a coachman so that fits with Male Servant.

Can't see any sign of Thomas senior in 1841, in Warwickshire or elsewhere.

I wonder if this is him? although he should still show up on the census:

Hmm, looks interesting Mary. His age is slightly out but it might explain why he wasn't at home, but as you say, he should be somewhere else!
