I've not had an email though some say they have, just logged in and no upload option for me now but I can still see matches.

Not sure how I feel about this.

In my world, if you go around raping and killing then the gloves are off. Law enforcement agencies should be able to use any means to identify the culprit. Can I really be the only person who would object to my closest blood relative being identified and punished for their crime?

If you don't want to be identified and caught for your crimes, then don't do them. Simple.

I suppose MyHeritage will probably sell more testing kits than before, though.

I think it's more to do with their T&C's preventing law enforcement accessing the data and the claims it was law enforcement creating accounts to upload results in the first place.

I can't see how it will stop an organisation or individual opening a dummy account and assigning a kit or kits to it. It's not as if they can verify who the dna actually belongs to.

Ah yes, I misunderstood the tone! It's all about money, of course, nothing to do with being on the moral high ground.

I don't follow them on social media but I still get several different offers each day through facebook, email and affiliate links on youtube. I've had four different kit prices today from £29-£33 and then there's always the bonus 'free shipping' pop up when you don't complete the purchase.
I'm not sure if there is a 'normal' price anymore as the offers are constant. I know some test with them and Ancestry but I wouldn't duplicate my result by testing directly whatever the price, paying twice for the same thing isn't a discount, deal or offer in my eyes.
