This one is of my grandfather Sydney Leonard Yates 1904-1984.

I would imagine it was taken in the 1940's or 1950's. Grandad never seemed to alter.

This one is of one of the many Bass Brewery trips to either Scarborough or Blackpool I would imagine. Bass paid for their employees for a day trip to the seaside every year. Sometimes almost 20 carriages would leave Burton Station.

I bet there was a few crates of beer aboard.

I have no idea if any family members are amongst them.

Early 1960's not sure where.

Back left my grandmother Alice Jane Newey nee Mortlock 1880-1973

back right my aunt Dorothy May Fleetwood nee Newey 1911-2003

centre another aunt Winifred Edith Harvey nee Newey 1916-1990

The two children are my cousins. Both are still living, do I have to blank out their faces?

Blackpool 1934. My uncle Leslie Wilfred Newey 1920-1978 and my mother Gwendoline Alice Yates nee Newey 1923-1986.

1930's Blackpool again, perhaps the same year.

Grandmother Alice Jane Newey nee Mortlock and uncle Leslie Wilfred Newey

I'm not sure if these are late 1930's or early 1940's. Again at Blackpool (they never went anywhere else)

Uncle Les and grandmother

I know, my dad was the same when he was younger. Always wore a suit, shirt and tie no matter where we were.

No, you haven't named them, so that's fine.

Your grandmother Alice Newey, looks very familar....is that because you've posted pics of her before, or is it because she looks like some of my great-aunts?
