There is a Betty Bancroft baptised 16 Oct 1803 St Mary Stockport, dob 29 Sep 1803, parents Daniel and Sarah. These names fit well with my Elizabeth's children - her first two were named John and Hannah after Isaac's parents, then the next son is Daniel and the next daughter Sarah. But Betty's parents Daniel and Sarah go on having children until 1824, with a son John in 1817. So if this Betty is my Elizabeth, who is the John Bancroft who was a witness at her wedding in 1821? Not her brother.

Daniel Bancroft died in 1845 age 83, which would mean he was born about 1762, but his age on the 1841 census is 70, so his age may not have been known very accurately. There is a Daniel Bancroft baptism in 1767 at Cheadle, Cheshire, son of William and Sarah, and that Daniel had a brother John baptised in 1764. So I suppose the John Bancroft who was a witness at Elizabeth's wedding could be her uncle.
