Default 1907-9 juvenile courts Glasgow

I am looking for some help tracing why my ancestor was sent from Glasgow aged 14 to Heswall Industrial School.

The Mitchell library seems to have some (incomplete) juvenile court records, so you could start there. If you knew an exact date, newspapers might help too.

Heswall was a terrible place by all accounts.

Have you tried the British Newspaper Archive? In those days children's misdemeanors often made the local papers.
