Default Kentucky marriage 1783-84

There are over 1000 trees on Ancestry that have a marriage between John Leveridge and Rebecca Burnside Dodson in Lincoln, Kentucky. There are two different dates one Nov 1783 the other June 1784.

Can anyone find a record for this marriage? I admit I haven't looked at all 1030 trees but I've checked a lot and not one has a source for this event. I've searched and can't find one either but I'm not that au fait with US records and wonder if I've missed something?

Thanks

I don't have any more knowledge of Kentucky than you do, I'm sure, Sue, but maybe this from Perplexity might help?

What historical records exist of marriages in Lincoln, Kentucky, in the late 18th century?

Note: It says that Nelson County was formed in 1784 from Jefferson County. Any marriages before that date would be found in Jefferson County records.

Thanks Janet. It seems that there may be a book somewhere that might have the info! I can't find that either

I'll keep looking....

Yes, the nearest copy (assuming it's the right book) is in NYC

I'm interested in this wedding as John Leveridge appears on the trees of several of my DNA matches and I have Leveridges in my tree. I wondered if the marriage record might give a bit more information. Highly unlikely given the date!

Thanks for your help, Janet x
