What name is this?
I have a woman getting married and her name is abbreviated to Mara, the last a being raised like the d in Ricd for Richard.
I thought it was Maria but recent transcriptions have said it is Martha. Which name would it be? If it is Martha then that would explain why I can't find anything on her before marriage.

It's probably Martha. I think you had another person similar - Mara/Martha Killerby bap 1743 in Bradford.

No need to apologise. I only remembered it because I had one on my tree too!

No. At least not this one. I haven't finished with the Killerby's so I may have another Martha I haven't got around to yet.
