Default fmp Optional keywords Q

I can't get fmp to accept an asterisk in the Optional keywords box.

I'm looking for the children of Samuel, but I know some of the entries are written Saml etc so I put Sam* in the Keywords box, but I then get no matches. The following screen seems to be helpfully telling me that it should work!!

Any ideas please?

I don't think the wildcards work in the keywords box, Merry.

If you are only searching one particular database, you could go to the specific search for that database and see if it has boxes for parents' names. The wildcards seem to work o.k. on those.
