Where's the will?
Pamela Holden died on 2nd October 1973, "of 1, Wingate Drive, Didsbury". In my tree I have written "J (my late brother) has sent for the will".
I have looked at the wills site, I cannot see her will. A relative said that someone had slithered into her life, was living with her when she died and he said there was no will. The family does not believe this, she was a comfortably -off spinster living in a nice house with a nice car etc. Surely if there was no will there would still be an admon? And why would someone destroy a will, if that is what happened - the interloper would not have been entitled under intestacy law, Pamela had nieces and nephews. Can anyone see what I have missed, please? (Going out soon, back this evening). OC |

Here it is on Ancestry - will have a look on the probate site in a minute as that one isn't so easy:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageview...e&pId=19849991 Probate Winchester 27 Nov 1973, £10883. Ref no 733315178C.

Actually, I searched for the name and year on the probate site and it came up with 1 "document page" in the "image search results", which is actually the right one.
