Details of each of his or her marriages - if any married Ellen Sheather at St Johns Camden, NSW on 24 Jan 1857 Occupation(s) - if any 1855 - chain man for Surveyors (his brothers Edmund and Henry Sanderson) 1857 - gardener at Camden Park Estate 1858-1907 -nurseryman at Menangle and Enfield Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK) - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on. 1841 - with mother and siblings - Burghley Lane, St Martins, Stamford, Northamptonshire (father is at Milton Hall, Castor, seat of Earl Fitzwilliam) 1851 - think he is in Eccleshall Bierlow, Sheffield as coal loader at 42 Brammell Lance 1855 - to NSW with surveyor brothers Henry and Edmund Sanderson, to survey the southern railway line, per ship "Chowringee" 1857 - worked at Camden Park Estate (home of John and Elizabeth Macarthur), as a gardener 1857-1900 - established and ran a nursery/orchard in Menangle NSW, near Camden. Date, place and cause of death 15 Jun 1907 at "his daughters residence", "Westbury" albert Rd, Strathfield Date and place of burial / cremation. 17 Jun 1907 at St Thomas CofE graveyard, Enfield NSW Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable none known Memorial inscription - if any "In loving memory of John Sanderson died 15 Jun 1907, aged 73 years, also his wife Ellen who died 6 Nov 1927. Also their daughter Ellen who died 26 Sep 1940 and daughter Charlotte Hughes died 20 Nov 1931". There is also a footstone noting the death of Cyril Hughes "Palestine 1941". Cyril John Hughes died 31 Aug 1941 in Beirut, Lebanon. Henry Sanderson Senior was Surveyor to the Fourth Earl Fitzwilliam, who lived at Milton Hall, Castor. Henry had eight sons - only one of whom died in England (Albert, as an infant). Three died in India, working for various railway companies (Charles, William and Alexander), three in NSW (Edmund, Henry and John) and James was lost at sea ("Fell from the topmast"). Since I made this post, I have found John's baptism (and those of his siblings) thanks to the Sheffield indexers website, so I have added it now.
