I've just heard that the date for these will be Friday 8th August. There is lots of information about what is happening on this PDF:

Thank you. I can see I'll be visiting the local library in the near future!

Something strange with this collection - I am finding that an exact search for the name John brings back a lot of Anns and Janes as well as Johns.

Ancestry always does that to me.

The information about this release on Ancestry says that it includes both PR's and BT's, but I can't find some of the BT records which are indexed on FamilySearch. FamilySearch only shows them as "Suffolk" and I was hoping to find out which parishes from Ancestry. Hopefully there is more to come.

I had high hopes of getting OH's tree back a few generations with this release. However, my first search shows that his 3x gt grandfather was illegitimate and his mother doesn't seem to appear in the register

Happily, I have been able to sort out SOME of OH's Farrow family, who lived along the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
Not found the baptism of William Berry Farrow about 1789, though. His sisters were baptised from Brockdish to Stradbroke to Metfield. William B gave his place of birth as "near Bungay". |
