Ellen and children in 1901, she is a widow.
RG13; Piece: 4586; Folio: 135; Page: 36 There is a death in Middlebrough in 1899 but he is 70. Too old. Babs, where does the W appear from in his name? Isn't that his son? Can only see him referred to as George

I've found Ellen in 1911 as well.
RG14PN29290 RG78PN1696 RD535 SD3 ED27 SN149 She is with a Arthur and Mabel Stroyd (daughter?) On the last line of the names it says Raymond Stroyd - son aged 16 months. This is crossed out and it says dead next to it. Do you want this image??

I have cert for his Marriage to Ellen my GGran but just dont know about birth like you have found nothing to fit exactly or nearby ;;the Casweet one think its 1861 Howie found for me he said that would have come under Monthouthshire but why did he contantly say Pontypool ???
