Just been revisiting this, as Ancestry has been free over the weekend. Having looked at George's records, I saw that he came from Market Rasen and I think I found his baptism, showing him as being a catholic, which possibly could have caused problems with the marriage? I did manage to find an Elizabeth from Wales with daughter Catherine c1838 living in Westminster in 1851 under the surname Brath, although it isn't clear that is the name, and she says that she is married. I still couldn't find her in 1861 though. I don't know if anyone else could?
I think I have found the same record on FMP listed as Brust, which could have been Brewster
