Mary Ellen Yates nee Barks my paternal grandmother
Mary Ellen Barks 1897-1980
Early 1920's. The necklace is actually a photo of her fiancé at the time. She was engaged before she met my grandfather and apparently dumped him because he embarrassed her whilst in the market as he was commenting on ladies underwear.
